Abstract
The objective of this work is to identify and evaluate critical equipment in a rice mill. A survey was made of the main equipment of the company, from the point of view of mechanical vibrations. These equipment were plotted on a base plan and then maintenance principles were used to perform the criticality analysis. We sought to identify the most critical machine, based on the history and experience of Dickow Alimentos employees, to allow the planning of a specific continuous monitoring. As a result, the SEW R87 Gearmotor was determined as the most critical mechanism for production. Vibration analysis techniques were used, with acceleration data acquisition through a smartphone and application of Fourier transform, in order to work in the frequency domain, to monitor the equipment. After processing the signal, it is possible to identify its main characteristics, allowing a study that compares the signal obtained continuously with a healthy signal. Monitoring enables predictive maintenance to be performed, which helps to lower costs and avoid catastrophic failures.
