Abstract
Existing literature has introduced the use of arc-shaped vibration neutralizers to mitigate vibrations in mechanical structures. However, there are still gaps in understanding this type of mechanism. This work aims to develop a prototype of dynamic vibration absorber, applied to a beam. To achieve this, the finite element method was used as a means of studying the responses in frequencies of the resonator and beam, as well as tests to validate the simulations. Thus, it can be observed that the absorber is effective and attenuates the vibrations in a certain frequency range of the beam.
