ABSTRACT. IN THIS PAPER, A MODERN CONTROL SYSTEM FOR POSITIONING HYDRAULIC ACTUATORS IS PROPOSED. THE CONTROL STRATEGY UTILIZED IS BASED ON THE INVERSE DYNAMIC OF THE PLANT WITH WHICH THE LEARNING OF THE NEURAL CONTROL IS PROCESSED. IN THE SECOND STAGE THE NEURAL CONTROL ACTS IN THE PLANT IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE POSITION CONTROL. THE SIMULATION RESULTS ARE PRESENTED TO EVALUATE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM.
