Abstract
The article presents the computational implementation of the Eigensyatem Realization Analysis (ERA) to be used in modal parameters identification in a Python platform. ERA is based in the realization theory consisting in the fitting of a first-order state-space mathematical model to a quantity of measured impulsive responses functions (IRF) taken from a structural system. Numerically, the identification scheme relies on eigenvalue and singular value decomposition problems of appropriated matrices: state-matrix of the system and Hankel structured matrix of IRF’s data. The effectiveness of present method is demonstrated using samples of IRF’s obtained from numerical simulation.
